I came across this mystery road kill leaving Nosara one morning with a visiting friend at 6 AM. Thought the pattern on the fir was amazing for its beauty and symmetry. Looked in my Costa Rica animal guide but could not find it. Sent it all over, including to local veterinary doctors but nobody could give me a name for the little beast. Then, while watching National Geographic one day, I saw an animal very similar called a Honey Badger. So that's what I am calling him until somebody corrects me.

There is never ending drama from the local animal community.
